Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups Vital Wheat Gluten (300g)
  • ¼ cup Nutritional Yeast (15g)
  • 2 teaspoons Smoked Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder

Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup Vegetable Stock (120ml)
  • ¼ cup Canola Oil (60ml)
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce (60ml)
  • ¼ cup Maple Syrup (60ml)
  • 2 Tablespoons Liquid Smoke
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste

Marinade

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp tahini (or tomato puree)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion paweder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp liquid smoke

1. Combine wet and dry and kneed for 5 minutes

2. Wrap loosly and steam for 20 mins

3. Allow to cool completely before slicing

4. Marinade for 5 mins then fry!
