Until 2 weeks ago I didn’t know vegan crepes were possible. I stand corrected – I found this recipe from The Veg Space. Since trying this for the first time I haven’t bothered looking for other recipes and I have made almost no modifications because it’s pretty much spot on.


  • 180 g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 400 ml soya milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 30 g vegan butter (melted)
  1. Combine and mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and sugar) in a mixing bowl
  2. Combine wet ingredients (milk, vanilla extract and half the melted butter) in a jug
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl and mix until you get a batter
  4. Heat a frying pan on medium-high (7 on our induction hob)
  5. Just under a ladel-full of batter is good for 1 pancake – cook side 1 until the top is dry
  6. Cook the second side for about 60 seconds or so.
