…or, use it to make a batter
Ingredients
- 2 Cups plain flour
- 2 tsp table salt
- 2 tsp thyme
- 2 tsp basil
- 2 tsp oregano
- 4 Tbsp paprika
- 2 Tbsp garlic salt
- 2 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp mustard powder
- 1 tbsp ground ginger
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
Mix it all together.
If using tofu, squeeze the water out and squish in chicken flavoured broth before marinating it in the same for a few hours. Dredge the tofu pieces thoroughly, straight from the marinade before frying in medium hot oil.
You can also make a batter by adding some water or maybe some aquafaba. Again, coat the tofu in the batter before frying. This gives it a kind of buffalo wings vibe. Add some chilli flakes if this is your intention and serve with a sauce.
