Chilli Mushroom Recipe

A great video for making Chilli Mushroom, a very nice Indian recipe that can be served as a side or main dish. The main thing is that everything should be nice and chunky.

Ingredients for Chilli Mushroom Recipe

  • 1 bell pepper
  • 250g mushrooms (cut in half)
  • 2 onions chopped roughly
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 chopped green chillis
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 400g Tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method for Chilli Mushroom

  • Heat oil and add cumin seeds, onion and chopped chilli for a few minutes
  • Add chilli powder, turmeric, corriander powder and salt – stir and cook for three minutes minutes
  • Add tinned tomato and cook for 3 minutes
  • Add bell pepper and cook for 3 minutes
  • Add soy sauce, mix well
  • Finally add mushrooms, stir in  and cook for a final 5 minutes

I left out the cornflour stage as I’m on a low carb kick, but add it if you like.
