We’ve tried dozens of tarka dahl recipes in the past but I think this one comes closest to restaurant tarka dahl, and dare I say it may even be a bit better. I love tarka dahl, we tend to make tons of it and save some for later, although it doesn’t tend to last long in our house. Tarka dahl is cheap, low calorie and packed with energy.

Agreed – nice version of the tarka dhal recipe – try adding a dash of lemon juice.
Fascinating! We started purchasing whole animals from the local farm last year, and it’s working out really well for us. We found a great website with lots of great dishes like this meat recipes to keep us going.
