Ingredients

  • 1 cup dry red lentils
  • 1 cup oats
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 medium onion (fine dice)
  • 3 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1.5 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp each of oregano, basil & thyme
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Method

  1. Saute onions until soft
  2. Add 2 garlic cloves and saute until fragrent
  3. Oats in food processor and whiz until powdered
  4. Add everything to the food processor and pulse a couple of times.
  5. Roll into small balls
  6. Spray with oil and cook in hot oven for about 10 minutes
  7. Turn, spray with oil and cook again
